Domain Registration Terms

Last updated: 2026-07-10

Draft. This document was prepared without a lawyer and is not legal advice; bracketed placeholders will be completed before production.

These Terms apply when you register or buy a domain name through Tikaboo. We act as a reseller: the domain is registered through our partner registrar (Cloudflare Registrar or Name.com). In addition to these Terms, ICANN rules and the applicable registrar’s and registry’s terms apply.

1. Reseller model

We are not a registrar. The domain is registered in your name through a partner registrar (Cloudflare Registrar or Name.com), whose ICANN accreditation, agreement, and terms apply to the registration. You are the registrant (domain holder).

2. Accurate data (ICANN requirement)

You must provide and keep accurate, current registration data (name, contacts). Under ICANN rules, inaccurate or unverified data can lead to suspension or cancellation of the domain.

3. Fees, renewal, auto-renewal

Registration and renewal prices are shown at purchase and depend on the registry; prices may change. Registration and renewal fees are generally non-refundable. A domain may auto-renew — you can disable auto-renewal in settings.

4. Term, expiration, and grace periods

A domain is active for the paid term. After expiration, the registry’s grace and redemption periods apply. If a domain is not renewed in time, you may lose it; recovery may cost more.

5. Domain transfer

You may transfer a domain to another registrar under ICANN rules (including limits such as the 60-day lock after registration/transfer). We do not hold your domains hostage — consistent with our no-vendor-lock-in principle.

6. Domain disputes (UDRP)

Disputes over rights to a domain (e.g. trademark infringement) are handled under ICANN’s Uniform Domain-Name Dispute-Resolution Policy (UDRP). We may act on a court or UDRP order regarding a domain.

7. Registration data (WHOIS/RDAP) and privacy

Some registration data may be published or disclosed under ICANN and registry rules (WHOIS/RDAP). Where the registrar or registry offers privacy/proxy protection, it may be available.

8. Acceptable use

You must not use domains for illegal or abusive activity (see the Acceptable Use Policy and the "Report abuse" page). A domain may be suspended at the request of the registrar, registry, ICANN, or the law.

9. Disclaimer

We do not guarantee that a particular domain is available, and we do not control registry or ICANN decisions. A registration may be refused or cancelled for reasons outside our control.

10. Applicable registrar terms

The partner registrar’s terms (Cloudflare Registrar or Name.com), ICANN policies, and the "Registrant Rights and Responsibilities" document additionally apply to the registration. [Add links to the current registrar terms.]
